About the Training and Professional Development Calendar....

The Training and Professional Development Calendar is a product of the Training and Professional Development Network and is produced bi-monthly by the Youth Coalition of the ACT in partnership with the ACT Alcohol and Other Drug Sector Project. This calendar has an average distribution of over 500 in the ACT and surrounding area to youth, alcohol and other drug, mental health, family support, community and government sectors. Training and Professional Development Network

The Training and Professional Development Network (TPDN) began in June 2005 in response to findings from consultations conducted by the Youth Coalition of the ACT. The TPDN seeks:

¥To support a coordinated approach towards training, professional development educational opportunities;

¥To be responsive to needs and emerging issues; and

¥To provide opportunities for training and professional development providers, brokers and community educators in the ACT and surrounding region to share information and collaborate.

ACT Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Sector Project

The AOD Sector Project is a 12-month capacity building project that is auspiced by the Youth Coalition of the ACT. It aims:

¥¥¥ foster intra and cross sectoral relationships; and,

¥¥¥ improve outcomes across the sector.
